TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2011, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. – 20th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION and ANNUAL GATHERING

It’s time for a special celebration of the Hollow Oak Land Trust’s 20th Year of working to protect the environment in your community!  We’ll meet for Happy Hour at 6 p.m. at Mario’s Restaurant on Beaver Grade Road in Moon Township.  Dinner will start at 7 p.m. and be followed by presentations, including the President’s annual State of the Trust.

Key note speaker will be Bill Kunze the Director of the Pennsylvania Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.

 

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2011, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. – SANTUCCI CONSERVATION AREA Walk

The Frank A. Santucci Conservation Area was the first property acquired and protected by HOLT.  Come see the view of Montour Run from the hilltop and help pick up any trash we find there.

The office of the Hollow Oak Land Trust sometimes is the site of a variety of special presentations related to environmental issues of direct concern to residents of southwestern Pennsylvania.  From special programs ranging from the economic benefits of trees to the important role of bats in the ecosystem, these presentations bring interesting and relevant information to local communities.
